2. Provide guidance to others in establishing quality control techniques for determining, maintaining, and improving the quality of manufacturing operations. Make decisions pertaining to quality and determine responsibility for failure to meet quality standards.
3. Set-up and implement quality conformance criteria and control charts and monitor for adherence to standards.
4. Assist engineers and supervisors in establishing or changing methods, techniques or materials for existing or new apparatus for the control of quality or improvement. Collaborate with engineers and supervisors on related drawing changes.
5. Inspect parts or product (using measuring tools, mechanical, and electrical equipment) as required for manufacturing procedures and processes, document and report results.
6. Perform mechanical or electrical tests that are required in the manufacture of the apparatus to determine that quality is being maintained.
7. Assist in the development, wiring, and programming of current and new test equipment.
8. Chart data gathered from various quality checks to be used in analysis, decisions, and feedback for quality improvement.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Two-year technical degree or 2 High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment
Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
Four-year degree in mechanical / electrical / industrial engineering
4 or more years experience performing or inspecting stamping and/or machined manufactured parts
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to effectively communicate with engineering, purchasing and supplier personnel
Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking capabilities
Courses in blueprint reading or mechanical drawing or equivalency in job experience.
Experience interpreting and inspecting dimensions using GD&T from engineering drawings
ASQ Certified
Ability to operate Coordinate Measuring Machines to perform inspections
