Quantity Surveyor

nd project management skills to coordinate all activities during the project life cycle

• Collaborate with engineering, marketing and manufacturing for accurate and timely delivery of product material takeoff.

• Perform project design tasks, including but not limited to; material and engineering services take-off, quotation, development of scope documents, drawing layouts, submittal creation, release schedules, post order documentation creation, etc.

• Works with customer & outside sales to develop cost-effective solutions to meet the customer and project needs.

• Reports potential/actual problems requiring attention and provides alternative solutions when identified for project completion.

• Acts as the primary representative in technical assistance and project status

• Other duties as necessary

Qualifications:

• Degree / Diploma/ Certificate in Quantity Surveying/Engineering/ Building/ Construction Management

• Two (2) years of experience in electrical and or mechanical product estimation

• Knowledge in MEPF system and non-structural component supports including seismic bracing.

• Experience in an Oil & Gas, Power, Mining, heavy industrial projects structural design

• Familiar with different international codes and standards (NEC, IEC, NEMA, ASME, CSA, NFPA, IBC, CBC, UL, FM, plus others)

• Knowledge of manufacturing documentation requirements for Oil & Gas, Power, Mining, heavy industrial projects:

  • submittal drawings
  • production drawings
  • test reports & certifications
    -proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, Bluebeam

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a good understanding of construction processes.

• Teamplayer, Fast Learner, Critical Thinker and Problem-Solver. Able to work independently and work under pressure

• Able to multitask and meet deadlines
