    What you'll do:

    • Tax Claims Management: Handle sales and use tax claims and refund requests submitted by customers. Review claim documentation, validate eligibility, and liaise with customers to facilitate claim processing and resolution.

    • Exemption Certificate Review: Oversee the review and management of customer exemption certificates to ensure compliance with sales and use tax regulations. Verify the validity of certificates, update records, and communicate with customers to obtain missing or expired certificates as needed.

    • Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to sales transactions, exemption certificates, and tax calculations. Collaborate with customers, internal sales teams, and other departments to address issued and reconcile discrepancies in a timely manner.

    • Customer Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries and issues related to sales and use tax compliance. Provide prompt and courteous assistance, answer questions, and educate customer on tax policies, procedures, and requirements.

    • Data Analysis: Analyze customer records, exemption certificates, and tax records to identify areas for improvement. Utilize analytical tools and reporting systems t generate recommendations for process enhancements and risk mitigation.

    • Process Improvement: Develop and implement best practices for tax claims management, certificate review, and discrepancy resolution. Streamline workflows, enhance efficiencies, and implement controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.

    Qualifications:

    Required (Basic) Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

    • Minimum 1 year of experience in finance, accounting tax or customer service.

    • Candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Moon Township PA - no relocation will be provided for this role. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field.

    • 2 years of experience in sales and use tax compliance with a focus on tax claims management, exemption review, or similar responsibilities.

    Position Criteria:

    • Thorough understanding of sales and use tax laws, regulations, and exemption requirements. Experience in customer service or client-facing roles is highly desirable.

    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve complex tax issues and discrepancies.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customer, colleagues and external partners.

    • Proficiency in using tax software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office application for data analysis, reporting and documentation.
