• Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) has an opening for an senior talent in the field of HV Electronics Hardware Design. This position will be based in Pune, India.
• The individual will be responsible for developing high power density product designs involving electrical / power electronics / hardware design and interface designs from End-to-end.
• Optimize design for energy efficiency and various performance strategies using physical modeling or simulation tools, and providing technical expertise and guidance to team members and mentoring new engineers.
• Champions innovative solutions for High power LV inverter/DC-DC Converter topologies, Switching methods and control, HV/LV gate driver, isolated and isolated design and HV/LV protection; Filters and magnetics design and solid-state device selection.
• Leads project level deliverables in High-Speed Communication Circuits, and Digital and Analog Controls, I/O Interface Circuits and Control Hardware.
• Develop products to comply performance, functional safety, reliability and cost requirements.
• Writes and maintains product specifications and functional specifications of design solutions for product to meet performance, functional safety and reliability.
• Develop engineering tools and continuously improves operational efficiency.
• Evaluates alternative design solutions to meet product development requirements factoring in performance, cost and schedule. Interface with products teams in EIIC and global locations; act as the liaison for program associated with associated simulation technologies.
A successful candidate will need knowledge and have prior experience of commercial vehicle product development process at system and subsystem levels.

Qualifications:

• B-Tech/BE / ME/Mtech/ PhD

• 6 to 8 years

Skills:

• Bachelors / Master's/ Doctoral degree in Electrical, Electronics with industry experience of over 8 years and proven track record in engineering research / analysis / product design in HV/LV DC-AC inverter, DC-DC Converter Power electronics.
• Required Experience in new product development projects and in the field of power electronics.
• Experience in hardware system design including end to end product development involving analog & digital circuit design with 16/32 /64 bit microcontroller based designs, development, verification & validation, qualification & certification testing, launch support.
• Exposure / Hands on experience on Digital Communication protocols like CAN, LIN, RS232, SPI, I2C etc.
• Experience in following tools - MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice/ LT Spice/ Simetrix, PSIM/SABER
• Preferred / Additional specialized knowledge
• Experience in pulsed power, capacitor chargers, electromagnetics, microelectronics, and thermal design.
• Experience in Analyzing and simulating power electronics systems including, analog, logical, and digital electronics. Leverages use of Hardware in the Loop simulation systems..
• Experience in Validation, Verification and Certification of Auto / Electrical domain
• Knowledge of Reliability for Embedded system Design.
• Understanding of DFSS tools like FMEA, FMECA, Monte Carlo Analysis etc
• Excellent mastery of FMEA method for the design of new products
• Experience in hybrid / vehicle electrification
• Experience in ISO 26262 functional safety processes.
• Knowledge of quality standards and certifications (IATF 16949, ISO9001, ISO14001)
• Should have proficiency in advanced problem-solving techniques.
• Sound knowledge of electrical & electronic design especially in HV power electronics
