Essential job duties:
Establish and maintain an effective Agile solutions development lifecycle, from initial proposal through to deployment
Lead and inspire a cross-functional team of project managers, solution engineers, and developers to deliver high-performance software solutions.
Implement and uphold rigorous quality assurance standards to guarantee the reliability and functionality of all custom software solutions.
Oversee at a departmental level all aspects of development, integration and maintenance of complex software solutions across a portfolio of customers, including calculating risk, driving collaboration with R&D teams and reporting to management on time/budget milestones and scope deviations.
Allocate departmental and shared resources and workloads, effectively, to ensure timely and successful solutions delivery.
Expand Hosted Systems, Software as a Service , and cloud enabled offerings, ensuring its alignment with market demands and business goals.
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree relating to Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and related fields, or equivalent
6 years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role leading a technical or business development department
Proven experience in developing and managing the delivery of software solutions to customers
Ability to travel 25-50%
Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future
Reside within 80km of our Brossard, QC location.
Master of Business Administration or Master of Technology Degree
Proven experience in developing and managing software solutions specifically within the power utilities sector
Working knowledge of utility processes and business practices
Understanding of SaaS offerings and software development methodologies
Written and spoken fluency in French
Proven record of accomplishment of team and thought leadership, time management, customer service skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, global environment
Excellent interpersonal abilities, including strong written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to take calculated risks to drive innovation
Ability to drive a continuous improvement mindset and promote learning agility personally and within the team
