    Position summary

    hain / category teams to identify synergistic opportunities to adopt / develop more sustainable materials and manufacturing technologies to enable Eaton achieve sustainability goals.

    • Develop the strategic technology adoption and development roadmap and link it with product roadmaps for various businesses
    • Build proposals with compelling business case and negotiate with Eaton businesses to secure funding.
    • Lead the research and development efforts to mature the xRL for new sustainable materials in expedited manner
    • Use program management skills and practices to coordinate activities with other engineering resources, cross functional teams, external partners and ecosystem to ensure timely completion of the project milestones utilizing internal project execution processes, including Gate Reviews, Design Reviews, and Technical Reviews.
    • Work with Sustainability CoE and develop proactive approach to monitor the upcoming regulatory changes related to materials and develop the mitigation plan
    • Lead the efforts on materials advocacy with external regulators and standards bodies
    • Develop the external ecosystem for developing new class of materials and its scale up
    • Build network with universities around the world to accelerate low TRL technology development in polymers and sustainable materials aligning with Eaton strategy
    • Work with SCM teams to build supply chain for Eaton proprietary polymers
    • Support IP team to develop strategy to commercialize material IP portfolio where possible.
    • Take ownership for commercialization of ERL developed technologies

    Other responsibilities

    • Provide technical leadership to research teams to develop / evaluate new materials. Ensure the technical rigor of the work undertaken in Eaton Research Labs in polymer domain.
    • Work with technology managers to shape up the proposals for waterlining process
    • Responsible for developing and securing funding for right research program portfolio in polymer domain
    • Mentor the young engineers in the team for technology, program execution and leadership
    • Represent ERL on various internal and external technical forums
    • Actively contribute high quality IP that has business and technology importance.
    • Actively participate and present in internal innovation and ideation events."

    Qualifications:

    Master's Degree (with 13+ years) or Ph.D. (with 10+ years) experience in Polymer domain in corporate research domain.
    Expertise in development of Polymer nanocomposite
