What you'll do:
As Junior Software Configuration Engineer you will be part of in an international team supporting Eaton's high-end solution, Energy Power Monitoring System (EPMS). Our software offers real-time power and environmental system monitoring at a single facility or multiple locations throughout the world, helping organizations reduce power consumption costs and avoid unplanned downtime due to system failure, implemented in range of different electrical infrastructures (https://i.e. data centers, Industries and commercial buildings).
You will bring domain expertise to contribute to following areas of activity of Software based projects:
Support sales teams with technical scope definition and clarification when needed (manage scope variations, highlight technical risks and propose risk mitigations).
Support Senior/Lead Engineers to produce and/or validate engineering documentation, technical presentations to support solutions promotion and training initiatives.
Coordinate with Senior/Lead Engineers SW site deployment and testing (including onsite works when needed)
Support Senior Engineers to resolve escalated technical support requests (L3 cases) related to area of expertise
Interact with different EATON technical teams and third parties to submit engineering deliverables being part of project scope to Senior Engineers.
Design technical scope including initial system architecture design, system topology drawing, hardware BOM, proposed project schedule and detailed solution description (EPMS, DCIM, SCADA. PSA projects in EMEA) under Senior supervision.
Produce network connection and architecture drawings for EPMS project delivery by using AutoCAD and MS Visio.
Flexibility for travelling might be required for site-visits, customer meetings (face to face and online) and other project execution needs
Qualifications:
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor or Master Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science/Power management/Electrical engineering/Automation subjects.
Experience with AutoCAD and Visio software.
Strong team collaborative spirit with fluent in English (both speaking and writing)
Open to work in flexible way also with different colleagues, external vendors from different time zones and cultures.
Can do and analytical attitude.
Nice to have:
Understanding the principles of power distribution system including MV/LV switchgear, Transformer, UPS and EPMS/DCIM system is an advantage
Experience with Power system automation software, Energy power management system, Data Center Infrastructure management is a plus
Software and hardware knowledge of PLC, HMI, Network Infrastructure, IED programming and logic control concept is a plus.
