Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Regularly work with other teams to triage, troubleshoot and fix reported issues, errors, and exceptions
• Query and analyze live datasets to help identify problems within both standalone and complex deployments
• Test and debug code in multiple development environments
• Manage rolling releases of software in order to ensure compliance with changing requirements
• Document all enhancements, bug fixes, and database changes
• Collaborate with all groups in the organization to identify needs
• Contribute to problem solving activities. Work within all health and safety guidelines, proactively raising issues where these are encountered
• Build and maintain basic reports and report templates
• Creation of documentation for various manufacturing created devices and systems.
• Self motivated and able to work on projects alone and organize many projects at once
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Technology OR 3+ years technical software development experience within a professional environment, in lieu of degree?
Minimum of one year of professional experience programming in multiple languages, Visual Basic, C#, SQL, SQL Server or MySQLminimum of one year of professional experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or MySQL
Ability to travel, up to 25%
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee or Refugee.
Relocation is not provided. All candidates must currently reside within 75 miles of Eaton's Orchard Park, NY facility.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of and experience with programming of Cobots used in industrial environments
Experience with Eclipse
Knowledge of electronic circuits and controls
Working knowledge of "IoT" devices and other external peripheral integrations
Demonstrated experience with all aspects of project life cycle
Experience in developing full stack applications using software such as Microsoft Access, Visual Studio, and SQL Server Management Studio
