The individual serves as the technical lead for all Industrial Sector Business Unit initiatives. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, this architect aligns data initiatives with business goals, driving innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
What you'll do:
Design solutions that meet customer and stakeholder needs
Create Dataflow and Process mappings.
Assure the feasibility and sustainability of designed solutions
Design, publish, and evolve technical solutions and reference architectures that support current and future needs
Leverage both functional expertise and business process acumen to seamlessly integrate data from various ERPs in the Industrial Sector into the Analytics environment
Manage nonfunctional requirements and compliance
Define and prioritize enablers including exploration work and technical debt reduction
Enable continuous integration and continuous delivery that enables immediate feedback and adjustment
Maintain architectural runways for a series of products within IDM Value Chain
Manage, track, evaluate technical capability across Value Chain to facilitate the selection and alignment of a technical solution following enterprise guardrails. Execute POCs where applicable.
Responsible for ensuring design meets Eaton's standards and requirements
Partner with other Architects to evaluate capabilities and features to expand the use of an existing application to meet additional business requirements
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited University
• 10+ years of experience in the software industry with a proven track record of shipping high quality products
• No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 35 miles of an Eaton location to be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
• 15+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, data architecture, and/or data analytics.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, databases, and storage solutions.
• Expertise in data modeling, data retention and archival, data observability, quality, and cataloging.
• Strong understanding of data strategy frameworks, data maturity, and industry standard approaches.
• Knowledge of cutting-edge data technologies across access management, security, compliance, privacy, and AI.
Skills:
Strong understanding of data architecture, databases, and storage solutions.
Expertise in data modeling, data retention and archival, data observability, quality, and cataloging.
Strong understanding of data strategy frameworks, data maturity, and industry standard approaches.
