    Position summary

    Direct the utilization of cross functional teams to complete engineering deliverables.

    • Assign engineering resources, including outside contractors, to projects to support the business.

    • Lead architect of electrical designs and technical reviews of proposed solutions - Interpret regulatory requirements and develop cost effective designs to meet those standards.

    • Create product specifications based on customer and marketing requirements - Initiate thorough evaluation of competitive products, features, technologies, patents, production costs, and field reliability.

    • Participate in divisional technology assessment, https://e.g., additive manufacturing, IIOT, Generative AI, machine learning, and nanoparticles.

    • Maintain a positive collaborative work environment and foster an inclusive team culture to enable reskilling and upskilling

    Qualifications:

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited institution is required

    • Minimum of 8 years of Engineering experience required

    • Minimum of 4 years directly supervising others is required

    • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

    • No relocation provided. Candidate must reside within 50 miles of Windsor, CT in order to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Advanced Engineering degree from an accredited institution

    • Experience with Optical design, LED lighting, switching power supplies, large power sources, EMI emissions, electrical and thermal modeling, firmware programming (C++, assembly), PCB design (Altium, Orcad), Labview, simulation, and analysis tools MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE, or PLECS

    • Proven hands-on experience with power converter hardware simulation, development, and testing

    • Experience with modern converter topologies, specifically isolated AC-DC converters, and constant current regulators

    • Thorough understanding of PCB layout and EMC/EMI design practices, insulation, and interconnection techniques

    • Familiarity with control methods, experience with microcontrollers and digital signal processors.

    • Self-motivated with strong drive for results and learning agility

    • Use digital tools to solve problems

    • Ability to deal with ambiguity and make objective decisions based on engineering analysis

    Skills:

    Position Criteria:

    • Capable of working in a team environment, using strong communication and interpersonal skills - to establish relationships and influence timely completion of engineering deliverables.

    • Capable of leading an agile approach to problem solving with quick iterations, continuous learning, and fast failure.

    • Capable of implementing Design thinking methodology into cross functional working process.

    • Experience with an IIOT stack

    • Possess organizational, presentation, training, and planning skills

    • Capable of implementing standard work to facilitate knowledge transfer across the business
