Lead the supplier market analysis and ensure supplier qualification for RFQ's
Lead a team of direct and matrixed procurement professionals motivating them to achieve the supply chain department metrics.
Facilitate and execute cost reduction projects.
Lead negotiations for site-specific projects.
Evaluate cost reduction projects which are developed by colleagues.
Assist other department process owners (Engineering, Production, Operations, and Finance) in identifying and prioritizing opportunities to improve productivity, cost, quality and service throughout the external supply chain.
Assure that materials are procured at the lowest total cost, per specifications, in an efficient manner and delivered on time.
Evaluates procurement methods and recommends/implements new procedures, strategies, and /or suppliers.
Led Cost-Out events.
Key Performance metrics include but are not limited to:
Drives cost out projects to result in savings to the bottom line.
Manage and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance to all purchasing policies and exhibit excellent Ethical behavior.
Qualifications:
Education level required
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications: A Master in Business Administration, Finance or Productivity.
Years and area of experience required
• 5 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement/Supply Chain.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in project management.
• Proven capabilites of leadership of project teams.
Technical knowledge
• Proficient in Project Management methodologies.
• Knowledge of PPAP Validation processes
• Negotiation skills
• Knowledge of Manufacturing processes
• Knowledge on legal contracts negotiations and risk management
