for region wide processes. This position leads as well the team responsible for Treasury and factoring accounting & reporting requirements for Eaton's legal entities in EMEA.
What you'll do:
Lead US-GAAP and statutory compliance processes for Treasury and Factoring centers as well as a number of other Swiss based legal entities including the preparation of statutory financial statements and support to the tax department;
Support Treasury and Factoring Front office initiatives for all finance and accounting related matters including the US-GAAP and Statutory audit processes;
Provide accounting training, advice and assistance to other Corporate teams and Operations in accordance with US GAAP, local GAAP, Corporate Policy, Treasury and factoring accounting, internal control, auditing and tax requirements;
Deploy, monitor and ensure compliance to US GAAP, local GAAP, corporate policy, WHQ/EHQ guidelines internal control, compliance and risk frameworks and other requirements. Plan, control and coordinate to ensure current and future corporate and regulatory requirements are identified and complied with in a timely and cost effective manner;
Actively maintains the control environment and executes Balance Sheet Reviews;
Leadership and management of the Treasury and Factoring accounting EMEA team; day to day people management; provide environment for enhanced personal and professional development;
Ensure ethical standards are maintained and provides guidance, training and education of accounting professionals as required.
Qualifications:
Degree in finance/accounting from an accredited institution or equivalent professional degree;
Excellent working knowledge of the English and Local Country language desirable;
5-10 years of relevant work experience.
Skills:
Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, PowerPoint), Quantum and Oracle or SAP ERPs
Previous experience of US GAAP accounting, SOX & statutory compliance would be significant advantage;
Change management and process improvement skills - able to drive initiatives and projects across the zone;
Excellent Communication (Written and Verbal) and strong interpersonal and communication skills,
Ability to operate and deliver independently;
Able to work as part of a team in a collaborative manner;
Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships;
Ability to adhere to standard company processes, practices & policies;
Demonstrable continued personal development in both technical & behavioual areas.
