Principal Product Manager, Marketplace

Elastic Cloud, the managed Elastic service, is currently going through huge growth and we need to expand our cloud product management team to support the growth. We are looking for an outstanding Principal Product Manager to join our Marketplaces team. Cloud provider marketplaces across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud are a key strategic aspect to our business as more and more customers are choosing to acquire their business critical cloud services through this channel, which provides immense simplicity and a wealth of integration potential. Your job will be to gain a deep understanding of cloud providers and marketplaces in order to create and execute on a multi-faceted product vision that provides our customers with frictionless user experiences for marketplaces.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Optimize the user experience across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud marketplace journeys, focussing on customer acquisition, conversion, expansion, and retention.
• Investigate key AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud services that align with our solutions and work with our engineering and product teams on integration requirements and delivery.
• Create meaningful partnerships with marketplace cloud providers to help build more native and intuitive user experiences
• Work closely with our UI/UX teams on crafting impactful journeys in and out of our products
• Develop detailed use-cases and product requirements, working closely with engineering teams through the design, development, and release processes
• Independently measure product KPIs, which will drive process improvements and future product features
• Understand and remedy customer needs by interacting directly with customers, reading and understanding support tickets, and listening for the valuable feedback
• Support product marketing and sales enablement to craft customer-focused messaging and content

What You Bring Along:

• You have 5+ years in product management for a SaaS product(s) and have a deep understanding of SaaS and IaaS domains
• Ability to understand customer needs, build customer value and highlight competitive differentiation through packaging and pricing
• You have a strong understanding of at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• The ability to dive deeply into the technical understanding of how a product works. An engineering background is a plus.
• Must be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and working closely with design and engineering teams to deep dive into the details.
• Open source experience and knowledge of the Elastic Stack is also a plus.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
• Experience or willingness to work in a distributed organization
