    Position summary

    Job Description:

    The EHS & Facilities Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the organization's facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and custodial services. They are also responsible for planning, implementing, and enforcing an organization’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures. The primary objective is to create a workplace that is safe and healthy for people and the planet. They take ownership of workplace safety programs and may train staff on proper procedures to avoid accidents or injuries.

    Essential Functions:
     

    EHS:

    • Develop safety and environmental programs for compliance to company and government regulations.

    • Manage a team of individual contributors responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety and environmental programs, processes, and policies to safeguard employees and to ensure compliance with governmental regulations.

    • Administer and monitor Corporate and Business Unit safety/environmental programs.

    • Maintain records of training, qualifications, certifications, etc., as they apply to the safety program.

    • Provide training to enable effective operation of the established safety systems.

    • Initiate, document, and monitor corrective actions to adhere to safety programs.

    • Gather information and generate required and/or requested reports.

    • Manage the safety committee to accommodate production schedules and requirements.

    • Work with employees to resolve safety issues.

    • Keep the facility management team informed of safety and environmental concerns.

    • Participate in the investigation of accidents and injuries.

    • Manage local worker's compensation issues.

    Facilities:

    • Responsible for overseeing regular physical property inspections on assigned installation to ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of all assets.

    • Assign routine maintenance duties to complete all service requests for repair and maintenance of all grounds, buildings, and equipment in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

    • Routine maintenance duties may include fixing wall and/or floor coverings; repairing furniture and fixtures; performing basic plumbing work; performing minor electrical repairs; repairing appliances; painting and refurbishing projects.

    • Coordinate weekly/biweekly meetings with facility team members.

    • Manages Inventories supplies and equipment.

    Experience

    • Minimum of 4 years of EHS experience in a DC or a manufacturing facility

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in EHS or similar field (those pursuing a degree will be considered)

    General Skills/Competencies/Specialized Knowledge

    • Functional knowledge of DC operations, and process flow.

    • Knowledge of basic safety standards and how to determine compliance.

    • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    • Solid written and verbal communication skills.

    • Professional safety certification or equivalent.

    • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.
       

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

     

    Travel

    • Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time domestically (DFW area).

    Work Environment and Physical Demands

    • Must be able to lift, move and handle up to 40 pounds occasionally.

    • Ability to stand/walk for an extended period.
