    Position summary

    Job Description:

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Assist with the daily accounting functions of the Enovis Operations Accounting division as it relates to Balance Sheet reconciliations, Month end close activities, analytical analysis, and general ledger  accounting. Understanding of accounting principles, high attention to detail, broad knowledge of MS Excel functions, and communication skills are required. Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepares all financial reports. Compile and analyze financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy. Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow statements, prepare and consolidate financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports. Design, modify, implement and/or maintain accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions. Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures and internal controls. Ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance and other accounting regulations. An experienced professional with complete understating of principals, concepts, practices and standards. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Ability to work in a fast paced, complex environment and to pivot based on changing business needs.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Responsible for assigned tasks within monthly close: timely and accurate monthly financial close through the performance of account reconciliations, certain monthly calculations, and journal entries related to accruals, prepaid expenses & cash
    • Preparing, updating, recording all existing and new Leases in Lease Accounting Software
    • Responsible for preparing stock-based compensation calculations and the related accounting and financial reporting
    • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX and internal policies
    • Work with both internal and intercompany partners on transactions, ensuring proper support documents are retained, accurate according to specific accounting policies, and reconciled as needed.
    • Apply accounting principles related to company purchasing and cash receipt
    • Assist with technical accounting research
    • Support SOX compliance, internal and external audits
    • Collaborate with colleagues from FP&A, corporate accounting and business teams

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent.

    Licenses:

    • CPA license preferred and/or actively pursuing the CPA license

    Experience

    • Minimum of 3 years of general accounting experience;

    • High attention to details is required as well as the ability to handle changing priorities.

    • Ability to perform under tight deadlines and prioritize

    • Proven knowledge of MS Excel beyond a basic level is a must (sort lists, subtotal, sumif, pivot tables and vlookup).

    • Curious about the business, adaptable to growth and willing to learn

    • Passion for continuous improvement

    Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, procedures, and technical accounting memos. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to work cross-functionally, understand business processes and present accounting to non-finance colleagues.
