Role Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will be an indispensable partner with internal partners by utilizing a comprehensive knowledge of Company systems, practiced, procedures, and demonstrating a proficient ability at requires skill set for the position performs a variety of complex physical and administrative tasks that are involved with the distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Under general supervision and with some independent discretion to react to reasonable risk, duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Perform administrative duties in support of activities related to the picking, shipping, & receiving of materials and finished goods.
  • Communicate and coordinate with transportation companies.
  • Ensure lowest cost transportation by analyzing company and customer needs
  • Handle routine questions and problems.
  • Maintain open communication with other departments through the shipping/delivery cycle
  • Confirm the accuracy of invoices, bills and charges relative to the shipment of materials and goods
  • Log order information into systems
  • Filing and distributing paperwork as necessary
  • Maintain records and generating reports for accounting and other areas
  • May include up to 75% of time spent physically handling product to unpack and inspect/modify/clean goods and materials.
  • Follow and comply with company policies, standards, and practices
  • Collaborate with various functions and levels throughout the organization
  • Adapt and support the organization through times of change.
  • Other necessary duties determined and assigned by direct supervisor.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years relevant experience
  • Operate and use telephones, computers, and other technological devices/software programs to communicate with other people.
  • Experience on forklifts and order picker equipment.
  • ERP experience is a plus, specifically in Oracle.

Work environment | Physical demands:

  • Climate Control Environment
  • Benchtop work environment
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/ or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • The ability to work with and assemble small objects and component parts
  • Must have excellent visual acuity
