About Role

Are you ready to step into a leadership role on an engineering team that is helping to modernize clients' mainframe solutions? In this role, you will be working with a team of experts responsible for delivering a quality product to the client on schedule. ExperSolve, an Ensono company, migrates legacy applications to modern platforms using automated tools. The Senior Modernization Software Engineer will be responsible for taking the lead on projects, developing the core classes for the client's modernized environment, and interfacing with customers.

Responsibilities

• Leading client meetings and interaction, being the relentless ally for the client and unleashing them to do great things

• Broad range of Mainframe expertise including solid analytical skills in combination with strong application development. Code and Test Cobol/DB2 programs.

• Developing our libraries for modernized environments

• Assume technical leadership on projects to test modernized code to ensure it is performing as intended.

• Ensure that problems are appropriately analyzed, and code corrections and improvements properly implemented.

• Providing consultation and teachable moments to more junior members of the team

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

• 8+ years of coding experience in Mainframe Application Development

• Strong experience with legacy languages or databases - Mainframe, COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, IDEAL, Datacom

Good to Have Skills

• Experience in software testing, debugging, troubleshooting.

• Problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills

• Experience with -

• Object-oriented programming in Java, C#, or similar languages

• Eclipse or Visual Studio

• Spring or .NET

• Relational Databases (SQL/MYSQL/ORACLE)

• Experience in mentoring junior colleagues on the team

• Undergraduate/Post Graduate degree, coding boot camp certification, or equivalent experience Shift Timings
