    Key Responsibilities:

    • Proactively maintain, troubleshoot, and optimise facility systems to achieve maximum uptime and performance.

    • Conduct routine site inspections, responding swiftly to building and data centre alarms to address potential issues before they escalate.

    • Lead and participate in hands-on preventative maintenance, collaborate with vendors, and manage permit to work processes for essential systems (UPS, generators, BMS, chillers, and life safety systems).

    • Carry out repairs and corrective maintenance, minimising downtime and ensuring service continuity.

    • Plan and execute scheduled maintenance activities to boost reliability and extend asset life.

    • Keep precise and up-to-date site documentation, including maintenance logs, MOPs, and operational scripts.

    • Support incident response, working alongside or independently from senior engineers, and actively contribute to on-site solutions.

    • Deliver on work requests and circuit installations with accuracy and attention to detail.

    • Engage in facility and infrastructure projects aimed at continuous improvement and innovation.

    About You:

    • Possess ONC/BTEC/NVQ or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).

    • Previous experience in data centres, critical environments, or large-scale facilities is a plus.

    • Deep technical knowledge of UPS, generators, BMS, chillers, and life safety systems; HV switching experience is an advantage.

    • Resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable working independently or within a collaborative team.

    • Strong communicator, with keen attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
