    Electrical Engineer Associate

    Job Summary

    Performs the planning, system design, system implementation, system maintenance and support. Effectively interacts with other internal and external teams, including the design engineering, construction management, site engineering and regional operations teams, onsite support vendors and consultants on projects, policies and procedures. Assists in planning day to day operations and strategic direction of delivery of either a construction project or delivery of operations for an IBX facility.

    Responsibilities

    Project Management

    • Assists in managing projects or other design and engineering initiatives (i.e., organizes regular meetings to discuss issues)

    System Operation and Work Practices (including Capacity Planning)

    • Performs complex maintenance and repairs on engineering systems, and develops SOWs for routine system engineering, design and construction projects, utilizing safe working practices at an expert level (e.g. can apply procedure for lockout/tag out, can explain MSDS, etc.)

    • Works with the capacity and site engineering teams to identify power and cooling limitations and propose potential modifications

    Training

    • Provides feedback on training programs

    • Acquires knowledge by expanding experience with systems, vendor training and shadowing others

    Contract Administration

    • Assists in executing effective contract administration procedures including generation, review, and monitoring of contracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and other pertinent documents and documentation

    Leadership and Communications (including Vendor Mgmt.)

    • Assists in directing all internal and external project team members

    • Assists in directing external vendors per project or initiative such as general contractors, A&E design teams, commissioning agents, equipment suppliers, etc

    • Internal and external written and verbal communication to include detailed analysis and reports

    Policy & Procedure Development and Adherence

    • Provides feedback on policies and procedures

    Problem Solving

    • Identifies and understands underlying issues; differentiates key elements from the irrelevant or trivial

    • Can identify issues and apply correct rectifications (i.e., performs a simple root cause analysis)

    Technical Expertise

    • Utilizes expert operating knowledge of the relevant engineering systems to diagnose and repair advanced technical difficulties, and solve advanced issues (i.e., diagnoses issues and propose rectification actions from the analysis of equipment event logs)

    Qualifications

    • Proven years of experience in electrical system design, operations, maintenance, and project planning with emphasis on datacenter or mission critical project delivery

    • Bachelor Degree

    • Unterstützung bei der Durchführung von Fehlerdiagnosen und Behebung der Störungen

    • Entwickeln und Prüfen von bestehenden Steuer- und Regelungen für Kälte-, Lüftungs- und Klimatechnik oder Elektrotechnik

    • Mitarbeit bei der Optimierung sowie Betreuung und Kontrolle beim Austausch von Kälte- oder Elektroanlagen

    • Pflege der Anlagendokumentationen

    • Planung bei Austausch oder Erweiterung von bestehenden Anlagen sowie deren notwendigen Berechnungen

    Das wünschen wir uns

    • Erfolgreich abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung als Elektrotechniker / Kälteanlagenbauer / Mechatroniker Schwerpunkte Elektrotechnik oder Klimatechnik (m/w) oder vergleichbares

    • Weiterbildung zum Meister ist wünschenswert aber nicht zwingend erforderlich

    • Idealerweise Kenntnisse in Steuerungstechnik, sowie im Betrieb von Kältemaschinen

    • Erfahrung im Betrieb von Rückkühlwerken sowie Kalt- und Kühlwasserkreisläufen

    • Kenntnisse im Berechnen und Dimensionieren von Elektroanlagen

    • Bedienen von technischen Anlagen und Einrichtungen

    • Teamgeist, Verantwortungs- und Qualitätsbewusstsein

    • Selbständige und sorgfältige Arbeitsweise

    • Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift

    • Hohes Engagement und eine serviceorientierte Einstellung runden Ihr Profil ab
