    Job Summary

    The HR Employee Relations Manager will be part of HR Advisory Services team and will lead the employee relations function to support the leadership team across the full scope of employee escalations for the Asia-Pacific region.  The incumbent will work closely in partnership with the HR Business Advisors and HR Business Partners, providing guidance and advice on all employee relation matters. The position is located in Singapore, reporting into the Vice-President of Human Resources, Asia-Pacific. 

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct and manage internal workplace investigations on matters arising from employees’ escalations such as grievance, misconduct, policy breaches, advising and making recommendation to senior leaders to make the right employee relations decisions and mitigate risk to the business

    • Develop the strategy and framework for employee relations and has accountability for implementation, driving global and regional Employee Relation consistency and complying with local regulatory requirements

    • Build managing employee risk capability of the HR Business Advisors by providing guidance, coaching and advice on employee risk matters, such as managing performance, managing conflict, and organisational restructure

    • Provide advice on HR operation employment risks matters including reviewing employment contracts, HR policies

    • Act as the Employee Relations subject matter expert in projects and initiatives such as merger and acquisition

    • Provides data and insights on employee relation escalation trends to recommend proactive, training for managers, or other strategies to mitigate key areas in employment risks

    • Acts as role model for the values of the company and personally demonstrate behavior consistent with Equinix culture

    Qualifications

    • 15 years of HR working experience in an MNC with proven track record of practical employee relation experience in the Asia-Pacific locations including Australia, Singapore, Japan, India and Korea.

    • Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong working partnership with internal clients as well as regional and global HR colleagues

    • Confident, independent, dynamic, proactive, people and results-oriented with excellent communication, writing and interpersonal and influencing skills

    • Creative thinker and problem solver with sound judgment

    • Strong team player

    • Adaptable and flexible with high drive & commitment

    • Successful track record of collaborating with senior business leaders on ER issue resolution
