Job Summary:

For our Frankfurt site, we are looking for an experienced (m/w/d) Infrastructure Project Manager.

The infrastructure project manager works with the Data Center Delivery team. He/She is responsible for the physical Implementation or replacement of Data Center Infrastructure. This role covers project management end to end, including provider, supplier, and project team management.

The Project Manager is responsible for the delivery in time, within budget, and with Equinix quality standards.

What you’ll be doing:

• Project planning of infrastructure projects in the data center environment (electrical engineering, cooling technology, fire protection, building management services)
• Development and management of project plans
• Stakeholder reporting and management
• Handling of Risk, Change, Resource, and Escalation Management
• Preparation of tender documents
• Preparation of technical specifications for delivery scopes around all subprojects including bid evaluation and technical negotiations
• Supervision and support of suppliers during order processing up to the handover of the trades to the company
• Review of technical documents, schedule, and cost control
• Conducting system and interface discussions with suppliers
• Acceptance of suppliers and preparation of test protocols
• Documentation of electrotechnical components/systems
• Technical leadership and coordination of commissioning together with the suppliers, including control and acceptance
• Technical management and coordination of internal and external project members

What we’ll expect from you:

• In minimum of 5 yearsof professional experience in project management
• Experience in handling complex technical infrastructure projects
• Exhibit overall strong business acumen
• Proficient in German and English
• Creative, high energy, self-starter comfortable running programs independently
• Solid presentation, analytical and interpersonal skills
• History of using strong communications skills across multiple departments
• Knows how to organize resources to effectively handle concurrent requests from an array of customers (internal and external)
• Willingness to travel sometimes to other Equinix locations within Germany
