Business Need/Purpose of Role:

We have a exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our Quality Team in the Alrode Manufacturing Plant. The role requires to improve Quality of incoming products and to ensure that the Quality Standards are maintained and improved.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Trade Qualification or equivalent combination of education and/or experience)
  • Certificate in Total Quality Management
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office Package) & ISO 9001 systems

Minimum Experience: 

  • 5 -7 years’ related experience in Quality
  • 3 years’ experience using 3D measuring equipment
  • Experience working in a LEAN environment

Key Tasks:

  • Perform quality control inspection of manufactured components / parts and assembled pump units
  • Resolve quality and Technical problems through root cause analysis
  • Compile weekly and monthly reports
  • Assist with the effective management of Quality Control documentation
  • Generate NCR (Non Conformance Report) for non-conforming manufactured components / parts and assembled parts
  • Control the process and all documentation related to non-conformances and concession
  • Control the disposition of rejected part through rework / repair process
  • Control of non-conforming product assembled pump units
  • Liaise with internal suppliers to resolve problems
  • Manage and maintain all sick bays
  • Maintain the distribution of records i.e. NCR’s, concessions
  • Maintain the reject area in terms of 6S
  • Adherence of all HSE and housekeeping requirements
  • Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times

Minimum Skills/Abilities: 

  • Ability to read Engineering / Technical drawings
  • Good Communication Skills (verbal & written)
  • Ability to work without Supervision
  • Technical Problem-Solving skills
  • Ability to use all types of measuring equipment
  • Safety conscious
