IPS.
Responsibilities
Support our R&D team developing new algorithms to improve indoor positioning and mapping capabilities of commercial software
Apply empirical methods to evaluate and improve existing algorithms and software products
Contribute to data collection and data analyses
Produce and present clear IPS performance reports as outcome of any analysis performed
Analyze and troubleshoot real-world indoor positioning deployments
Support productization of our research projects by tuning parameters to align with future software capabilities and product functionality
Develop spatio-temporal analytic toolsets to assist the deployment, maintenance, and management of ArcGIS IPS
Contribute to the writing of technical reports, technical papers, and scientific publications
Requirements
8+ years of experience supporting software product development within an agile environment
Knowledge in statistics, machine learning, signal processing
Solid experience with Python, specifically with scientific/data-science packages
Strong fluency with the English language, both verbal and written communication
Master's degree in applied physics, computer science, applied mathematics, engineering, geoinformatics, or a related field
Recommended Qualifications
Working knowledge in Indoor Positioning System (IPS), Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), or any related field
Familiarity with ArcGIS or other GIS and mapping products
Work experience in data engineering, data science, and applying machine learning, deep learning or signal processing techniques to real-world problems
Ph.D. in applied physics, computer science, applied mathematics, engineering, geoinformatics, or a related field
