Responsibilities
Work closely with customers and partners to identify, design, and validate key GIS workflows
Develop enterprise database design and implementation strategies
Design logical and physical geodatabase models to support requirements following Esri and industry best practices
Configure enterprise geodatabase maintenance and tuning strategies
Present complex GIS technical demonstrations to various levels of staff in a diverse range of customer organizations
Collaborate with software development teams to help improve Esri capabilities and customer experience
Use consulting skills to support teams during all phases of implementation including requirements, analysis, design, build/configuration, and deployment
Requirements
5+ years of professional experience in database architecture and administration for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SAP Hana
Familiarity with database design, data loading techniques, physical storage, backup/recovery strategies and data retention solutions, data security, and enterprise database maintenance and tuning
Familiarity with geoprocessing tools, tasks, and ModelBuilder
Programming and scripting experience with Python and SQL
Exposure to performance assessment and tuning techniques
Exposure to geospatial and mapping concepts such as spatial types, spatial analysis, map projections, and more
Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to technical peers and non-technical project managers or customers
US citizenship and willingness and ability to maintain a US Security Clearance
Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or related STEM field
Recommended Qualifications
2+ years of professional experience administrating and/or customizing GIS-related technology in a professional setting involving Python and SQL
Knowledge of GIS integration with other enterprise systems
One or more industry-standard IT certifications (such as Esri, CompTIA, Microsoft, Amazon, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
Master`s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or related STEM field

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$74,880 - $150,280 USD
