The Manager of Connecticut (CT) Rates is responsible for pricing and implementation of tariffs for electric and gas service. The Manager of CT Rate serves as Rates principal on inter-departmental teams and with external regulatory staff and commission, customer and other stakeholders in designated rates and tariff-related matters; serves as an expert in developing, communicating and implementing rate, pricing and associated costing strategies and practices within the company; organizes or develops training, research and information activities to assure staff maintain a current knowledge base consistent with current rate and regulatory trends, policies and requirements.
Represents Rates primarily on CT electric and gas related rates matters, within the company and with key external stakeholders,
Initiates projects and/or work as needed to continuously improve services provided by the Rates group to internal and external customers,
Address and respond to regulators, management, and across the organization on rates related matters ranging from a technical and detailed level to a summary and decision-making level,
Ensures prompt resolution to urgent and customer-facing issues as situations arise; seeks ways to mitigate situations so that crises and problems are minimized; proactively fosters and develops efficient practices and process improvements,
Prepares and interprets complex rate, cost of service and/or other analyses for Eversource including but not limited to regulatory analysis, rate design, customer, or tariff services and/or rate administration,
Directs analyses of pricing for quarterly/semi-annual/annual rate changes,
Monitors work performed by assigned department or cross-functional teams; supports development and reviews recommendations and ensures that projects are implemented on a timely basis,
Tracks regulatory and other relevant drivers and trends to anticipate, develop and support distribution and other product pricing in all segments of service,
Testifies before regulatory commissions in matters related to rate and costing issues.
Represents Rates on customer-facing and management teams to track and address customer issues and responses to pricing,
Performs analysis and evaluations, recommends pricing strategies, carries out and reports on implementation, and administers and communicates information related to tariffs and pricing to the Director-Rates and other management,
Fosters a productive, engaging, and inclusive work environment in which open communication is encouraged and obstacles to open communication are addressed quickly,

Prior utility experience,
Knowledge of rate setting procedures including regulations and filing requirements of regulatory agency,
Knowledge of retail regulatory policies and practices, utility organizational structure and functions, utility accounting/finance a plus.
Ability to integrate rate and/or cost of service information to develop strategic pricing solutions,
Ability to integrate corporate business goals into the pricing function,
Solid problem-solving skills,
Strong spoken and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with others,
Strong functional understanding of computerized business systems,
Demonstrated skill with MS Office Applications,
Strong analytical skills and team participation,
Ability to multi-task and shift among multiple priorities simultaneously,
