This position will support the planning, execution, and reporting of drone flights for Eversource. This may include assisting in new procedures, testing, training, webinars, and conferences associated with having a safe and innovative drone department. This position requires familiarity with drone technology, innovation, and industry software. Specific duties include safety evaluations, flight planning, waiver submittals, utility inspections, maintenance planning and execution, procedure creation support, software implementation, and industry networking. This position may involve being outside in the elements, traversing by foot on uneven ground to structures or facilities which are inaccessible by vehicle, as well as traveling, when required.

Technical Knowledge/Skill:
Education: An Associate’s Degree or two years of applicable work experience along with a technical background in drone software, equipment, and drone photography. Technical degree or certificate is preferred.
Experience: Experience flying drones in a professional environment is required. Experience or knowledge in the inspections, construction or operations of the utility industry is preferred.
Licenses & Certifications: A valid driver’s license and valid Part 107 certification in hand is required.
