As a member of Eversource’s newly formed Advanced Forecasting and Modelling team, you will help to influence, shape, and optimize electric grid investments over the next decade, ensuring our safe and effective transition into a clean energy future. The team strives for "best in class" data, analytics, application practices, and electric model maintenance - supporting Ever-source’s goal of building the most advanced DER forecasting and electric power system modeling team in the nation from the ground up.
As a member of Eversource’s Advanced Forecasting and Modelling team you will be the senior engineer in charge of creating a state-of-the-art modelling process and procedures within Eversource’s Distribution System Planning function. You will be in charge of developing and maintaining accurate power system models used by a wide variety of teams across all three states Eversource operates in. You will be working closely with a team of modeling and forecasting engineers guiding them to ensure top quality near-term (base) and long-term (planning) models are delivered. Furthermore, you will be in charge of improving upon existing processes, as well as assuming responsibility of and ramping up utilization of the newly acquired forecasting and planning software tools in Massachusetts, with the intention of supporting a tri state rollout. Last, but not least, you will be responsible for developing a training program for new associate engineers – including a yearly training schedule that ensures employees are proficient at developing models, within the first year, using a standardized format. In short, you will develop this position into the central process and knowledge hub around modelling in the Company.
