    Description

    Experian is looking for an Engineering Manager, based in Hyderabad, India to work alongside our UK colleagues to deliver business outcomes for the UK&I region.

    The Development Lead will have strong technical and people management skills, being able to lead a team of software engineers to translate requirements from a Scrum backlog in to robust, tested, and maintainable code before deploying it to production. They will be responsible for changes, updates and enhancements to existing products, making sure our security position is maintained.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Technical Team Leadership of a team of software development and QA automation engineers, working alongside them to set goals and ensure the team is best placed to achieve them

    • Interpret and assist with prioritisation of requirements from the team's Scrum board to maintain, enhance and modify existing applications written predominantly in C#, along with popular front-end frameworks and SQL

    • Monitor solution performance and produce reporting on this for internal and external stakeholders

    • Carry out development as per Experian's standard policies, meticulously following industry-standard source control, documentation and change management procedures.

    • Carry out changes in SQL based solutions, overseeing and reviewing technical changes, as well as signing off changes which have been carried out according to Experian risk and security policies

    • Advocate for a culture that achieves business goals, delights customers and acts in a manner conducive to the fair and reasonable treatment of all consumers, irrespective of whether these are Experian UK clients and consumers or not• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of documentation for operational processes

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • A degree in a STEM subject

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Excellent team leadership and people management skills

    Experience

    • Experience in a related team-leadership role

    • 5+ years of experience in .NET stack

    • Working collaboratively, leads by example and inspires trust of others

    • Coordinating with stakeholders, sales teams and leadership teams around feasible achievements and upcoming opportunities

    • Working closely with software developers and the analyst team

    • Calm under tight timelines and able to respond well to constantly-changing priorities

    Required Technical Skills/Knowledge

    • Development experience in C#, with strong .NET Core / Framework experience.

    • ASP.NET MVC

    • Understanding of Tableau Dashboards

    • Knowledge of AWS Redshift

    • Experience with at least 1 UI framework/library such as Angular or React

    • Good SQL query knowledge, including stored procedures.

    • Experience working with AWS (or another cloud provider)

    Beneficial Skills/Knowledge

    • Experience with agile ways of working, particularly in Scrum

    • Exposure to MS Azure

    • Jenkins/Other CI CD tools

    Know-how of Veracode/SonarQube or Security testing tools
