The Media Operations team develops solutions for partners by creating scaled systems to address issues impacting their experiences with the suite of Facebook products. Within Media Operations, the Media Integrity team protects users and ensures safe connections between Media constituents and their followers. We do so by understanding the landscape, identifying and analyzing problems and trends, and executing scalable solutions. We partner with engineering and other integrity teams to drive solutions.
- Lead a team of Automation Specialists
- Provide mentorship, guidance and career development to members of your team
- Lead and enable a high-performing team to deliver projects involving quantitative analysis, industry research, and strategy development
- Work directly with global cross-functional teams to problem solve using analytical approaches and develop solutions
- Establish team goals and work with direct reports on executing effective anti-fraud automation to eliminate abuse based on identified risk
- Develop a deep understanding of issues facing our constituents and how it affects Facebook, Instagram and our communities
- Analyze and interpret data to measure team progress and share results on fraudulent and other nefarious activity
- Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations, and influence team strategy through effective communication
- Requires contributing to Facebook's anti-abuse codebase
Be a thought leader for data-informed initiatives and guide the team's direction overall.
- BA/BS degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of work experience in an abuse, investigations, consulting, or online operations environment.
- Deep knowledge and experience in at least one scripting language (PHP, Python, Perl), statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS), or data visualization tool (Tableau).
- Strong people management experience preferred.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Passion for ensuring a good user experience.
- Experience working with global teams
