Facebook Reality Labs focuses on delivering Facebook's vision through Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). The compute performance and power efficiency requirements of Virtual and Augmented Reality require custom silicon. Facebook Silicon team is driving the state of the art forward with breakthrough work in computer vision, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, displays, sensors, and new ways to map the human body. The Imaging Intern will develop image processing and/or computer vision (CV) solutions for HW implementation in Facebook's AR/VR products.
- This intern will assist in developing image processing/computer-vision algorithms, for implementation in either HW or embedded SW for our Facebook AR/VR products.
- Help to develop tools for calibration/tuning of image processing/computer vision algorithms
Building frameworks and conducting testing/evaluation of algorithms performance
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
- Experience in Matlab and C/C++ coding
- Experience in computer vision, image signal processing, or related field
Experience in aspects of HW implementation, such as logic design, computer architecture, etc
- Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op
Background in computational photography and/or machine learning
