Facebook seeks a seasoned Product Marketing Manager to lead a team of product marketers to define our strategic approach to digital advertising analytics solutions for advertisers. The PMM function at Facebook serves as the representation of the market in product and the representation of the product in the market. So success in this position requires a strong understanding of how millions of salespeople, agencies and small business owners within the digital advertising ecosystem utilize advertising performance data.This role defines the needs of advertisers in order to create a product strategy across the complete set of measurement tools Facebook advertisers use to understand and improve their performance, including Facebook Ads Manager, Business Manager and Business Analytics.The exceptional candidate will have the EQ to bring together diverse stakeholders with unique opinions to drive the best outcome for our customers. This person will have owned a product end-to-end, from ideation to product launch to measuring the business outcome. The candidate must have driven product adoption programs in partnership with sales teams at a fast-paced Internet company. In a time of industry change, we need a true thought leader who can comfortably influence lead product and sales stakeholders in product and sales globally. At the same time, the role requires hands-on operational product work to execute against business objectives (it's not an ivory tower gig). This person must be a flexible cross-functional team player who is comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
- Analyze markets, products, and competition for the purpose of shaping the product direction, alongside Product Management, Engineering and Design Leadership
- Effectively communicate with Sales, Agency and Marketing Science leadership to distill and surface market feedback to product, engineering, and design teams for new and existing advertising products
- Partner with research to deeply understand customer needs and wants to guide inbound and outbound marketing strategies
- Partner with Marketing Communications team to develop and drive go-to-market strategies through various channels (including PR, events, speaking opportunities, digital, etc.)
Ensure the right level of alignment, consistency and flexibility in approach across the regional teams in an effort to scale impact, while meeting market-specific needs
- Bachelor's Degree
- 12+ years experience in digital technology, advertising or advertising technology
- Proven understanding of advertising technology, especially A/B Testing, Commerce Analytics, Lift Testing and Ad Experiments
- Experience gathering and analyzing customer and market feedback, translating this information into requirements and functional specifications
- Structured thinking, communications and overall approach
- Experience setting product priorities and managing and communicating tradeoffs
- Experience communicating with technical, business, and external stakeholders
- Track record of influencing behavior at a variety of levels in the organization, including cross-functional leaders
- Customer service orientation and experience in a client-facing capacity
- Demonstrated experience driving resolution in the context of competing perspectives
Organizational and people skills and experience setting priorities, problem-solving, multi-tasking and working independently in a dynamic, rapidly changing workplace
- MBA
- Deep knowledge of advertising trade association standards around measurement, analytics, audience marketing, etc.
