About this Role:

We are looking for a Director of Account Management to manage a team of individual account managers who are responsible for renewing, upselling and cross-selling our customers.

Our account managers are measured by revenue and logo renewal. They are also expected to maintain accurate sales forecasts and account information through tools such as Gong.io and Salesforce.com. Account managers conduct business reviews on a quarterly basis and project manage the program elements of our customers, working cross-functionally with the customer marketing and success teams.

As the manager of account managers, you are expected to motivate, train, retain and recruit new account managers who can successfully maintain and grow customer accounts and relationships. 
 

Your Responsibilities / Day-to-day:

  • Performance management of your team is your ultimate responsibility. To do this, we expect daily and weekly reviews and assessments of account health, pipeline management and continual review and monitoring of the quality of renewal conversations and sales meetings.
     
  • You will identify points of team strengths and weaknesses, providing and leading training and coaching where needed. This will occur on both an individual and team basis.
     
  • Be the point of escalation for account managers on your team. You must feel comfortable leading by example when it comes to customer conversations, renewals, and supporting them in order to see them achieve success.
     
  • Maintain and improve our renewal processes and materials in order to maximize renewal revenue success. This will require that you maintain up-to-date knowledge of Fairygodboss, our product offering and our sales strategy on an ongoing basis.
     
  • Recruit and onboard new team members as Fairygodboss grows and motivate / train  to constantly improve the quality of the existing team. 

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of overall sales experience in a corporate, B2B context 
  • At least 3 years in an account management, specifically
  • A track record of achieving quota (ideally exceeding it)
  • At least 2 years of experience managing individual contributors
  • Startup experience highly preferred 
  • Familiarity with HR buyers (Talent acquisition, Employer Branding, Recruitment Marketing, DE&I) is highly desirable
