    Job Description

    As a valued contributor to our team, you will design, produce, test, or implement software, technology, or processes across multiple projects, programs, or products, as well as create and maintain IT architecture, large scale data stores, and cloud-based systems.

    THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
    The Enterprise Risk Technology - Software Engineering - Advisor role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

    Software Engineering - Advisor

    • Use the latest AWS technologies to provide Risk Modelling / analytics for trading and portfolio management businesses, risk management, and financial reporting.

    • Provide optimal solutions and help improve performance of our tech stack and environment on the AWS Cloud in High performance Computing environment.

    • Use modern tools, techniques, and methods to develop, modify, or update applications used by business units or infrastructure units.

    • Serve as Technical Lead engineer for an Agile team & actively participate in Agile development methodologies / processes.

    • Participate in all team ceremonies including planning, grooming, product demonstration and team retrospectives.

    • Participate in code reviews with peers and managers to ensure that each increment adheres to original vision as described in the user story and all standard resource libraries and architecture patterns as appropriate.

    • Respond to support calls and troubleshoot critical issues for applications in production.

    • Develop advanced proficiency in Architecture, Object Oriented Design (OOD) & analysis, application of analysis / design engineering functions, application of non-functional software qualities i.e. resiliency, maintainability, advanced behavior-driven testing techniques.

    Qualifications

    Req'd: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent degree plus 5 years progressive experience building and deploying Web Services, including RESTful, and working with Application Services such as Java, Spring, JBoss, and Agile development methodologies. AWS Certification required.

    This is a hybrid (work in office and at home) position.
