In Technology, we support First Republic’s employees and clients through the acquisition, integration and management of the Bank’s information technology systems and services. We drive innovation and explore emerging technologies so our people can be productive and focus on what matters most – providing extraordinary service.

Under the general direction of the Head of Digital Technologies, the Frontend Developer role drives the execution and delivery of the Corporate 2.0 new user experience, both web applications as well as mobile applications in iOS/Android and is key to ensuring consistency and comprehension from business requirements through frontend specifications.

Line of Business-Specific Requirements: Candidates for this role should have experience working within a bank or investments/wealth organization and display an understanding and appreciation for the complexities therein.  Experience with digital platforms, distributed systems, and Cloud technologies is also critical.

Experience as a technical leader including driving consistent frameworks and methodologies to support consistency is critical for this role. Attention to detail and an ability to convey relevant information at summary and detailed levels is a key factor to success in this role.

 What you will do as a Frontend Developer:

• Develop intuitive web interfaces for online banking websites and applications.
• Leverage responsive JavaScript frameworks to implement cross device web interfaces. 
• Implement web development standards for styling, JavaScript packaging, security and navigation. 
• Define and implement modular user interface functionality by leveraging advanced front end development techniques.  

You could be a great fit if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field
• 7+ years of frontend developer skills and relevant experience in a technology environment
• Superior communication skills
• Strong Angular and TypeScript skills
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, ReactNative, and Vue, are desirable.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Fluency in HTML & CSS
• Prior experience in the field is not required but always helpful.

Base salary range

$145,000 - $180,000 annually 

Salary may vary depending on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills and experience. Full-time employees may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes: medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k), life insurance, paid time off and a Wellness Program.  Annual bonus, incentive pay and/or equity may also apply depending upon the role.
