    About the role:

    We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to prototype, develop and integrate functional and security capabilities for new and existing products.  This is a fantastic opportunity to engage in a positive and creative work environment that offers excellent benefits and flexible schedules.

    You will be responsible for designing, implementing & debugging new capabilities for our security focused products including our Linux-based Trusted Thin Client as well as related management & mobile access solutions. You should be a self-starter, used to working in a dynamic team environment, willing to grow & learn many development stacks to debug & design software for secure environments, IPSec/VPN networking and management modules.

    Depending on your skill set & interests, additional tasks may include development of user interfaces, web applications, databases, application integration, Linux/OS packaging, SELinux security policy & various distributed network-centric operating system & kernel services.

    Required Skills:

    • Experience developing production software using at least one or more of the following languages: Python, Rust, Go, C/C++, Java or Kotlin
    • Integrating disparate software systems using open standards
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating System installation & administration
    • Experience using Linux container technologies such as podman, Docker, OpenShift and/or Kubernetes
    • Experience developing cloud based security applications with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services
    • Distributed or clustered compute environment
    • Technical certifications (particularly in the network/security domain) are a plus
    • Experience with programming cryptographic interfaces, IPSec & public key infrastructures
    • Experience with various multi-media video codecs & desktop GPU acceleration technologies
    • Experience with thin-client usage, management & deployment scenarios
    • Experience with smart-card technologies
    • Experience with relational/SQL and/or no-SQL databases

    Qualifications:

    • This position will require access to information that is subject to the U.S International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The applicant must have the ability to obtain the appropriate work authorizations that may be required under U.S. ITAR or EAR regulations from the applicable U.S government agency.
    • You will need 5 years experience developing enterprise-grade security, networked, desktop and/or web applications in production environments and familiarity with standard network stack implementations.
    • Advanced experience in Linux/UNIX environments using a variety of programming and scripting languages
    • Experience with designing complex client/server software architectures & related team collaboration
    • Advanced understanding of TCP/IP networking related common application protocols & multi-threaded network applications
    • Advanced experience with version control technologies such as Subversion or Git
    • Excellent verbal & written skills for communicating abstract & complex ideas
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • Agile or Scrum development experience
