    Job Description

    Forcepoint is seeking an experienced UI Tech Manager to lead one of the user interface design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing Micro Frontends, UI design strategies, managing a team of frontend engineers, and ensuring that all UI designs are user-centered and aligned with business objectives. The UI Tech Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet user needs and business goals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement UI component and design strategies that align with business objectives.
    • Manage and mentor a team of UI engineers.
    • Able to code user-facing pages by hand from mock-ups that are well structured and adhere to responsive design principles.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs are aligned with business goals.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in UI tech.
    • Believes testing code is a necessity rather than an afterthought.
    • A passion for details, for solving complex problems that are new and challenging.
    • Comfortable in a dynamic environment. As a member of our engineering team, you will be called upon to be a Jack/Jill-of-all-Trades. A strong ability to prioritize and focus is critical.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal,
    • Comfortable with Agile Software Development and GitLab/Github Flow.
    • Able to handle and cope with stressful situations and understands the pressures
    • Eagerness to learn lots of new technologies

    Requirements:

    • Proficient with primarily React, Redux & Material-UI with jQuery & Bootstrap frameworks to support legacy code (soon to be phased out).
    • Experience developing rich applications with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), etc.
    • Experience working with containers, E.g., Docker, K8s etc.
    • Minimum of bachelor’s degree is required.

    Good to Have:

    • Knowledge / Experience on Golang, Python (Django), REST, NodeJS.
    • Familiar with relational databases and SQL
