Your Impact:
As a subject matter expert in governance, risk, and control, we partner with divisional and company Officers, as well as other senior members of their leadership teams and staff, to drive change to effectively manage risks in an open, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is a highly accomplished and motivated risk management professional with excellent organizational, leadership, communication and relationship management skills.
Day-to-day responsibilities are dynamic and include but are not limited to:
Facilitate risk identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring, mitigation and reporting of departmental operational risks
Perform quarterly risk assessments to reassess current risks and to identify emerging key risks (operational, compliance, technology, third party, etc.); Identify and assess control effectiveness and/or gaps.
Identify, analyze, and document/report Operational Events
Oversee and handle risks and controls framework for SFPS processes, including risk policy gap assessments, compliance requirements and divisional risk appetite adherence
Oversee and run internal and external risk/control requests on behalf of conservator, Internal Audit, ERM, and SOX
Build strong partnerships in the assigned business area and with key stakeholders across the division and enterprise to influence strong risk management outcomes.
Qualifications:
8-10 years of experience in operational risk, compliance and/or audit
3+ years of risk advisory experience at a Big 4 firm or the like is preferred
College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
Professional certification is preferred but not required (e.g., CPA, CIA, CFE, CISA, PMP, CISSP, etc.)
Prior experience in the financial services or mortgage industry is desirable

Excellent verbal and written communication skills capable of succinctly communicating complex subject matter; Ability to facilitate large group discussions

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $126,000 - $190,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
