Job Description

The Digital Experience Engineering function at Freshworks is critical to our mission to create a consumer-like, customer-centric ecosystem of digital properties and integrated digital experiences. This role reports to the Senior Director of Digital & Web Experience and into the VP of Global Brand Marketing. Leading web engineering at Freshworks, you’ll transform the web stack, processes, and design system for industry-leading performance. 

Responsibilities

• Define and drive an agile technology roadmap for the Freshworks web stack and digital properties
• Own the technology stack, including the Web CMS and DAM, front-end architectures, and the hosting environment
• Manage a team of front-end UI and full stack developers, solution architects, QA engineers, and data architects
• Craft a digital design system of atomic, system-agnostic components that scale across web experiences
• Stand up new headless CMS optimized for global scale, driving better performance for technology, users, and stakeholders
• Stand up new digital-first, web-first DAM that is integrated with CMS for all of marketing and brand 
• Optimize web architecture for integrated content and workflow automation across CMS, DAM and Marketing stack APIs to deliver 360 personalization at scale
• Define standards for web development and processes that ensure best-in-class outcomes for performance, scalability, and automation
• Establish a QA team, UAT process, and always-on programs for performance optimization and quality assurance
• Prioritize and drive a technical roadmap, budget and operations model for web engineering operations
• Partner with IT and Security leadership to constantly evolve product integrations and ensure our properties and customers are protected
• Mentor, guide and grow the team as we scale innovation with the newest technologies and tools

Qualifications

• 12+ years professional experience leading development teams and web environments for top companies or websites
• Passion for leading front-end UI development teams to develop highly creative and consumer-like, enterprise websites and applications
• Experienced scaling enterprise-level CMS and web architecture platforms, including headless/API-driven solutions 
• Expert in web architecture transformation and performance optimization including caching, CDNs, APIs, and other technologies
• Expert in HTML, CSS, Javascript, APIs and full-stack web development
• Experience leading offshore and distributed teams
• Highly experienced with large, enterprise, global, multi-property digital experiences with complex translation and localization needs
• Expert in implementing technical SEO best practices and reaching performance benchmarks for Google Core Web Vitals
• Expert in ADA and helping web teams remediate accessibility issues and create processes to ensure ongoing compliance
• Executive presentation, speaking, and communication skills
• Collaborative leader who excels at managing up, down, and cross-functionally to drive digital outcomes
• Creative thinker and innovative problem solver

Additional Information

The annual base salary range for this position is between:$139,668—$256,058 USD
Compensation is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location, experience, job-related skills, and level. Bonus/equity may be available
