About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Director of Service Delivery and PMO, the in-house (non-consulting) Senior Project Manager leads IT infrastructure projects which support the FTI Consulting Technology Segment's strategic and operational goals. Initiatives addressed by the PMO are primarily concentrated on infrastructure implementations, compliance, and technical operations related to the on-going support and expansion of FTI's eDiscovery products, initiatives, and consulting services. Senior project managers are strategic and tactical problem solvers who are typically assigned to lead multiple large-scale, high impact projects with moderate to high risk and complexity. Senior project managers matrix manage the project activities of team members on multiple projects to ensure they provide high quality and cost-effective services. Senior project managers also design and develop new approaches to project management and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
Develop strong relationships with senior business leaders, articulate risks, negotiate tradeoffs facilitate decision-making, prioritize and remove cross-team impediments. Work across organizational boundaries to manage communications and build positive relationships.
Ensure the continued evolution and elevation of PMO operations through the further refinement of well-defined project management processes and related transformation initiatives to maintain and further mature best practices.
Directly lead, manage and deliver multiple concurrent projects or programs from initial concept through the full project lifecycle. Direct large-scale, complex projects that may involve multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Build, lead, and coach project teams throughout project lifecycles. Facilitate all checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects.
Evaluate trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk and stakeholder value.
Ensure all projects adhere to project methodology compliance standards set by the PMO.
Capture and ensure all appropriate documentation, requirements, design and other required deliverables are created and reviewed/approved by external and internal stakeholders.
Develop and maintain detailed project artifacts while adhering to PMO standards and policies
Monitor and control project progress. Identify, articulate, and mitigate project risks and manage and resolve project issues.
Identify and secure resources, skills and knowledge required to meet project objectives.
Escalate issues to PMO leadership and project stakeholders as warranted.
Achieve project milestones through regular cross-functional project meetings to review schedule, status, issues and to ensure conflict resolution and risk mitigation.
Draft technical documentation, reporting and perform all other duties as assigned.
Successfully source and manage vendor relationships when warranted.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or other Agile certification (SAFe).
10 years' of applicable work experience in IT and data center operations with significant experience delivering projects in SaaS, IaaS or hybrid cloud environments (AWS).
5 years' recent experience in a project management role successfully managing and delivering multiple major projects related to IT infrastructure, information security, eDiscovery and/or data analytics through the full project lifecycle (i.e. concept, business case development through operational implementation and postmortem).
Experience and desire to work in fast paced environments. Proven ability to lead matrixed teams spanning various locations and handle competing priorities.
Demonstrated application and success using both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices methodologies.
Successful experience managing multiple projects of varying size, priority and complexity concurrently.
Sufficient level of technical background (and acumen) in order to provide highly credible leadership and to be able to evaluate and mitigate complex project risks and issues accurately and objectively.
Excellent organizational, analytical, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats at all levels.
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, including the ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations, and proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders.
Self-starter who has the confidence and demonstrated experience to make complex decisions at pace and work with autonomy plus the ability to effectuate change and diplomatically identify and resolve risks even if unpopular.

This role requires travel to FTI offices.
Two years of supervisory experience
Knowledge of Disaster Recovery and IT Service Continuity planning, implementation, and maintenance.
Experience with ISO/IEC 27001 certification or other applicable compliance frameworks.
