• Production Quality

Monitors Indian supplier performance metrics & deploys appropriate Quality Road Maps.

Manages Indian Supplier process audit plans & drives continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensures deployment of lessons learnt & best practices at suppliers.

• Team Management

Defines priorities & balances workload among Indian team members to optimize efficiency.

Assesses team member skills, define development plan, retain & attract talents & develops Technical Experts.

• Supplier selection:

Garrett Advancing Motion / Assesses potential new supplier in alignment with commodity & develop plan to close gaps versus Garrett requirements.

• Advanced Technology:

Facilitate SQ&D Team awareness about industry state of the art & future https://prospects.Promotes innovations & shadow engineering procurement supplier innovation team.

• Value Engineering and Resourcing:

Contributes to Gross Matex achievement with ideas on waste reduction & product / process improvements.

Coordinates supplier & expert feedback to remove potential technical roadblocks.

Education and Qualification:

• Degree in Mechanical / Material Engineering or equivalent & significant work experience.

• Manufacturing process experience (direct work experience as casting tooling development is a plus, for stainless steel) & knowledges about wheels processes.

Key Skills and Knowledge:

• Technical background in automotive or aerospace industry - preferably casting (Steel, grey Iron and Wheels) and / or machining.

• Six Sigma experience - Lean Expert or Black Belt is a plus.

• Knowledge in Product & Process Auditing, preferably based on VDA https://6.3.

• Knowledge of Quality tools & practices such as AIAG - APQP, PPAP, D&PFMEA, DOE, IATF-16949.

• Problem solving methodical approach (8D, 5Why, Cause/Effect Diagram, risk assessment).
