About this role
We are looking for a Senior Writer with an eye for detail and expert knowledge of the English language to write technology-centric content, as well as manage all steps in the publication process. A successful candidate understands what kind of writing is appropriate for technical professionals and strives to provide exceptional, informative and engaging content to clients. Candidates must be organized, disciplined and self-directed. They must and possess excellent research skills, a highly collaborative approach, and a passion for the written word.
Senior Writers perform a variety of duties, including drafting text, revising content for clarity, formatting documents, fact checking and researching. Senior Writers work directly with Gartner editors, designers, analysts and leadership teams to craft written research. They must ensure time-sensitive deliverables meet deadlines and Gartner quality standards.

What you will need
Six-plus years' writing experience, preferably on fact-based, business content in a busy environment with strict deadlines.
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Liberal Arts, Technical Writing, or related field.
Excellent writing and communication skills. Proven ability to (a) coach authors and colleagues around writing best practices, (b) prepare and present materials to a variety of stakeholders, and (c) understand stakeholder audiences such that materials presented are relevant and persuasive.
Ability to learn and understand new concepts quickly.
Ability to independently apply and share expertise around writing best practices. Ability to proactively identify process gaps and suggest solutions, innovations and next steps.
Ability to independently collaborate on research documents with subject matter experts and build relationships with other stakeholders.
Ability to distill meaning from graphics and numerical data.
Ability to manage simultaneous projects and juggle a diverse workload while meeting deadlines and managing stakeholder expectations.
Knowledge of Associated Press (AP) style.
High-level knowledge of the IT industry and the ability to write to a technical professional audience is a plus.
