At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Administrative Assistant III a typical day will include:
As part of the four person learning engagement team, the AA will provide Registrar and training support for Customer courses. Even though a team environment exists, the AA must work independently to effectively and efficiently perform responsibilities
Each AA may support 5-10 courses and the courses average 30 attendees, but attendees can range from 10 to as many as 50. There are online and classroom environment courses and the AA will learn/support the requirements for each course type
Registrar responsibilities predominately include registering attendees, posting course training credits, and providing customer support
The AA communicates through email or phone to provide detailed or general course information to attendees and to follow through with actions such as ensuring an accurate and complete registration process
The AA will employ tact and decorum to communicate with various audience levels from junior to senior levels. The AA also will back-up other team members
The AA must be an energetic, self-directed, and motivated individual who demonstrates patience, a willingness to serve attitude, initiative and follow through
The AA must have the ability to build, cultivate, and maintain positive relationships with customers, team members, and stake holders.
AA will need to move rolling tables, chairs, and easels in the learning environment. On rare occasions, the AA may need to travel to other locations in the WMNCONUS to attend office events using a POV or GOV, depending on circumstances.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
HS Diploma and 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
TS/SCI with Polygraph
Available to work during the core business hours between 0900-1500
Must possess effective communication skills
Proficient Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Able to perform duties with minimal supervision and some team interaction
