At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Customer Services and Information Technology Officer supporting the customer, you will be trusted to analyze internal and external customer needs. As a Mission Customer Services and Information Technology Officer supporting the customer, you will be providing timely and dependable first tier desktop and Access Administration support to customers. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Password resets and/or granting share drive access.
• Submitting new accounts/group accesses.
   

Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

• Extensive knowledge about administering databases and share drive accesses.
• Working knowledge of managing restricted data accesses.
• Excellent customer service consulting and desktop diagnostic skills
• Detailed oriented, as well as, excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Sound problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making.
• Experience with TCP/IP and general networking issues.
• Experience providing superior customer service and support.
• Experience in communicating effectively, resolving issues efficiently, and contributing to the improvement of the infrastructure.
• Experience with Data transfer services; Data Transfer Officer (DTO).
• Experience with ticket tracking, closing, and escalating issues; assisting in installing peripheral IT items and access administration.
• Strong interpersonal and organization skills.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with hardware/software.
• Experience in excellent listening and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage multiple task assignments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate how to use an application, system, etc. to customers of various levels (i.e. junior to senior).
• O&M experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
• Minimum of 6 years related experience.
• CMA required.
• Administrator for sensitive data.
• Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

Provide technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures

Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues

Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software

Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages

Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels

Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions

Ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations

Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines

Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users

May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies

May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals

May serve as a team or task lead

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS or equivalent, 5+ years of experience
