Job Description:

The Data Analyst is responsible for the collection, management, analysis, reporting, and visualization of program data to support the execution of an ongoing learning and development initiative for a federal client. The Data Analyst will work as a member of the Instructional Systems Design Team to conduct trend/gap analysis and ensure that all data related needs are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.

Essential Tasks Include:

• Collaborate with task manager, training team members, and other designated staff as required to enhance data collection and analysis techniques across existing learning and development platforms.
• Work in conjunction with the learning and development team to interpret data to enable data driven decision making.
• Identify trends and assist with conducting gap analysis through the collection, management, analysis, and reporting of training-oriented data.
• Contribute to overall continuous improvement efforts through compilation and analysis of survey data.
• Manage data collection efforts to ensure that required data elements are being captured adequately and stored appropriately.
• Work to streamline data collection and analysis to improve training development/delivery and enable timely deliverable completion/submission.
• Conduct analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data using a data analytics platform such as Excel or similar platform.
• Prepare written summaries and present reports that reflect the results of conducted data analysis and facilitate findings to various stakeholders.
• Create data visualizations for inclusion in reports or in standalone dashboards (using Excel, Airtable, PowerBI, etc.).
• Support ad-hoc data collection and reporting requests as needed.
• Participate in meetings as required and assists with additional projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Requires BS/BA degree with at least 5 years of direct data collection and analysis experience.
• Proven proficiency with data collection and visualization platforms (Airtable, Excel, PowerBI).
• Prior statistical analysis experience is preferred, but not required.
• Experience conducting both quantitative and qualitative data analysis.  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively contribute alongside a team of learning and development professionals and collaborate with stakeholders across varying levels of leadership.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
