    Job Description:

    General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a motivated, customer-oriented Program Manager with strong, proven, past infrastructure and application delivery experience in at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to add to our mature CDC Account Team. This individual will apply program management techniques to ensure the on-time, high-quality delivery of products and ensure their compliance with all contract requirements.

    You will also act as a liaison between the CDC and GDIT to identify and manage reach-back support for new technical requirements and subject matter expertise, as needed. You will have hands-on program and project responsibilities and balance project execution with business development.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned program area including technical work, financial and business development activities.
    • Leverage senior-level leadership and extensive CDC relationships.
    • Lead complex negotiations with industry partners to build teams supporting procurements.
    • Act as hands-on program or project manager managing teams in support of infrastructure and application operations, Cloud migrations/implementations, data analytics, DevOps, or other technology projects.
    • Responsible for profitability and revenue growth of assigned program(s).
    • Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits.
    • Coordinates and monitors sub-contractor activities and administers subcontractor deliverables and finances.
    • Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, consulting agreements and other program documents.
    • Prepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested.
    • Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards.
    • Participates in special projects as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • BA/BS degree (or equivalent experience) and 5+ years of experience supporting federal government agencies in either project management and/or capture management capacities
    • Past experience or expertise with infrastructure and application hosting
    • Experience with managing multiple projects, including adjusting to shifting priorities and solving problems quickly
    • Strong technical background including experience in a similar mission critical technical environment with a significant number of direct staff
    • Proposal development

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Masters degree in Information Systems or MBA is preferred
    • PMP and/or CSM certification is a plus
    • 2+ years of experience supporting CDC
    • Experience or expertise with infrastructure and application hosting technologies such as Cloud, DevOps, Cyber Security, Analytics, or data lake/data management.
    • Experience managing programs or portfolio of programs in excess of $10M/year in revenue is preferred.
    • Prior experience managing subcontractors cost and performance
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
