Job Description:
Primarily responsible for the coding of the web-based products that support the dissemination and tracking of messaged content to the target audience. Leverages modern technologies to provide maximum exposure across a spectrum of end user devices. Supports publishing operations as required. Web applications are primarily written in Ruby on Rails on Linux and deployed in AWS using MySQL. Participates in the design and development of web applications, services, or technologies. Works within a team environment using Confluence, Jira, and Slack to manage, assign and collaborate on work tasks. Develops modern web interfaces using JavaScript and associated technologies. Reviews projects' ability to deliver robust and scalable solutions, learning and incorporating new technologies as appropriate. Participates in Agile project management methodologies to support all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Requires BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and 5+ years of web development experience with modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, JavaScript) and open-source technologies (Linux, Django), knowledge of web application framework development, user interface development, and database technologies.
