Job Description:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

An I2TS3 Systems Administrator (Linux / Microsoft Administration) (Senior Systems Administrator) will:

  • Perform systems administration of server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions
  • Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems to include implementing DoD STIGs
  • Configure and manage UNIX (RHEL 7.X and higher) and Windows 2012 Server and newer operating systems
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
  • Isolate and resolve software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof
  • Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure systems with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
  • Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems
  • Responsible for the design and implementation of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware

Skills / Experience:

  • Possess an expert working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
  • Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
  • Required - System administration experience with both Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Required - Basic skills in Bash Scripting
  • Required - Intermediate Command Line Interface skills
  • Required – Knowledge of usage of Yum Repository configuration commands
  • Required – Perform Kernel Updates
  • Required – Ability to remediate DISA STIG findings
  • Required– Ability to provide server and application security updates to multiple servers on both Linux and Microsoft platforms
  • Desired – Knowledge of virtual server (VMware/Vsphere) technologies
  • Desired – Ability to perform data transfers requests and apply updates across multiple networks.
  • Desired – Ability to upgrade Red Hat operating systems and apply the latest updates to software.

 Certification(s):

  • Required Security Environment Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent
  • Microsoft MCSA or equivalent
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Specialization Certification (Red Hat Certified Specialist in Virtualization) within 180 days of hire.

Security Clearance:

  • TS/SCI required

Additional:

  • Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract.
  • High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience, or Associate's Degree with 8 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience, or Master's Degree with 4 years of experience
