Job Description:
The ideal System Administrator candidate will have:
Strong understanding of developing and managing multiple collections and task sequences, and adapting to meet changing requirements
Familiarity with Microsoft SCCM
Experience with Microsoft PowerShell scripting to perform software packaging, enterprise data queries, and sequenced operations across enterprise systems
Development of enterprise standard Windows operating system for all supported hardware platforms, based on latest commercial release, and compliant with DISA STIG requirements
Performing remote enterprise operating system upgrade and troubleshooting associated issues
Integration testing, packaging and deployment of enterprise applications experience
Familiarity with commercial web browser management and DISA STIG implementation
Deployment experience of security patches for enterprise systems
Expertise as a systems administrator with Microsoft Windows 10 operating system and Office 2016 or later applications include tier 3 troubleshooting, issue resolution and customer service
Position duties and responsibilities include
Independently provides technical interpretation and solutions in the management of networks, software, configurations, and architectures
Troubleshoots system software specific issues
Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels
Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software solutions
Conducts software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users
Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience
May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS and 2+ years of experience OR equivalent combination of experience and education
Level II 8570 Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
Active TS/SCI with current Polygraph
CWIP - IAT level II Compliance:
Persons provide network environment (NE) and advance level compute environment (CE) support. Responsible for finding and fixing unprotected vulnerabilities and ensuring that remote access points are well secured. Focuses on threats and vulnerabilities and improving the security of systems. Demonstrates a mastery of the functions of the IAT Level I position. Monitors, tests and troubleshoots hardware and software IA problems pertaining to the network environment. Recommends and schedules IA related repairs to include performing IA related customer support functions such as installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, in response to customer requirements for the network environment (NE). Analyzes patterns of non-compliance and identifies vulnerabilities resulting from a departure from the implementation plan or that were not apparent during testing. Provides leadership and direction to IA operations personnel. Implement applicable patches including IAVAs, and IAVBs for their environment. (Reference: Policy 6-34) for Cyber Workforce Improvement Plan (CWIP).
