Seeking a Tableau Developer to support a large civilian agency to develop a Proof of Concept (POC) for a workforce management application. The POC will be developed using an Agile based iterative approach using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Tableau with an initial target completion timeframe of three months. The project will require frequent interaction with multiple stakeholders and agency subject matter experts. Outputs from the POC will be used by senior management for decision making purposes.

Assist the agency to create a POC based on an Agile framework using MS Excel, Access and Tableau for data calculations, labor distribution modeling and reporting
Demonstrate the POC reporting capabilities to agency management
Analyze business and user needs, documents and translate requirements into the proper system requirements specifications
Define supporting business processes, activity steps, use cases and requirements for applications
Engage and manage communications with stakeholders, including agency SMEs and managers.
Provide ad hoc instruction/ guidance to agency personnel in the use of the Tableau tool and reporting capabilities
Serve as a mentor and direct the work activities of junior personnel
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree specializing in Business Administration, Science or related area is preferred. Minimum of 10 years (8 years with Master’s Degree) of demonstrated experience in researching and analyzing basic and complex issues surrounding the business processes and systems of an organization. Demonstrated ability to make recommendations on improving processes, efficiency, and practices. Experience using Agile software development practices. Demonstrated experience in using MS Excel, Access and Tableau for data calculations, modeling and reporting. Must possess strong communication skills and be adept and working with stakeholders and agency SMEs.
The likely salary range for this position is $118,810 - $198,411, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
