Job Description:
GDIT has a career opportunity for a Telecommunications Installer in Ft. Huachuca, AZ. Qualified candidates must possess an active Secret clearance.
The Telecommunications Installer:
Performs installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications systems.
Conducts site surveys and documents current site telecommunications configuration and user requirements.
Designs and optimizes telecommunications topologies.
Follows engineering installation packages.
Develops on-site installation schedules. Works with telecommunications installation team. Assists in documenting configuration changes at each site.
Qualifications:
Must have experience in using common test equipment (e.g. digital test sets, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers).
Must have experience testing telecommunications equipment/systems and following standard test procedures.
Must have experience in trouble-shooting problems with telecommunications equipment to include system interfaces.
Capable of trouble-shooting and activating circuits. Prepares test reports.
Must have active secret clearance
Must have 2 years of telecommunications/electronics vocational training, or equivalent military school.
BICSI Copper or Fiber certification desired
HS/GED, 2+ years’ experience desired.
